Pat Ellacott - Gallery 1 (cows and insects)

Below are some of my most recent works, approximately A1 and larger in size. You can see an enlarged view of any image by clicking on it.
The cow's essence or "cow-ness" lies in the animal's structure - the contrasting bony protrusions and soft hanging tissues, its musculature and the range of convex and concave forms, as well as its pose and movement.
An insect's structure is also intriguing. Enlargement of its often bizarre form reveals a surprising beauty.
